COQUITLAM – Linda Meneghello has been named to the board of directors of the Coquitlam Foundation.
A long-time Coquitlam resident, Meneghello is a mortgage specialist by profession but is also well-known for her community voluntarism.
As a life member of Kin Canada, Linda has spent many years volunteering in community service and also on the executive of B.C.District for the Kinsmen Association.
A founding member of the Juvenile Diabetes Golf Classic board, Linda has helped raise in excess of $175,000 over the past five years.
Meneghello joins vice-chair Julie Fisher, secretary Janet Toddington, treasurer Bob Tanaka, Mayor Richard Stewart, Terry O'Neill, Ron Roberge, Ron Grender, Sam Nakai, Wim Vander Zalm, Janine Davies and Gerri Wallis on the Coquitlam Foundation board.
The foundation manages $2.2 million in foundation-directed and donor-advised funds. It distributed more than $56,000 within the community at its Awards Night on May 29. The foundation will celebrate its 20th anniversary at a gala event at the Red Robinson Theatre on November 15.
