
In November of 1991 Norm Cook introduced the concept of a Community Foundation for Coquitlam to Gordon Fulton. The two met in a local Greek restaurant to assess the idea and concluded that it was a very valuable project. They set out to find others who might be interested in starting a Community Foundation and by June of 1992 the founders of the Coquitlam Foundation were in place.
